At Safety Sign Dept, we stand behind the quality of our products. This Return & Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which returns and refunds are accepted for our safety signage products.

1. Standard Safety Signs

Return Window

Standard, non-customized safety signs may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange.

Conditions for Return

  • Signs must be unused, undamaged, and in original packaging
  • All protective films and backing materials must be intact
  • Original invoice or order confirmation required
  • Customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective

2. Custom Safety Signs

Due to the personalized nature of custom safety signs, custom orders are non-refundable and non-returnable except in the following circumstances:

  • Manufacturing Defects: Signs with printing errors, material defects, or damage caused during production
  • Incorrect Order: We shipped the wrong sign specifications or design
  • Shipping Damage: Signs damaged during transit (must be reported within 48 hours of delivery)

Important: Customers are responsible for reviewing and approving design proofs before production. We are not responsible for errors approved by the customer.

3. Defective or Damaged Items

If you receive a defective or damaged item, we will provide a replacement or full refund at no additional cost.

Reporting Procedure

  1. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
  2. Provide your order number and description of the defect or damage
  3. Include photos of the damaged item and packaging
  4. We will review your claim and respond within 1-2 business days

4. How to Initiate a Return

  1. Contact Our Team: Email [email protected] with your order number and reason for return
  2. Receive Return Authorization: We will provide a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return instructions
  3. Package Items Securely: Use original packaging when possible and include RMA number on outside of box
  4. Ship Your Return: Use a trackable shipping method and retain your tracking number
  5. Receive Your Refund: Once we receive and inspect the return, your refund will be processed within 5-7 business days

5. Refund Processing

  • Refund Method: Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for purchase
  • Processing Time: Allow 5-7 business days after we receive your return for refund processing
  • Bank Processing: Your bank or credit card company may take an additional 3-5 business days to post the refund to your account
  • Shipping Costs: Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a defective product
  • Restocking Fee: A 15% restocking fee may apply to returns of standard signs in original condition

6. Exchanges

We accept exchanges for standard safety signs within 30 days of delivery. To exchange an item:

  • Contact us to initiate an exchange request
  • Return the original item following our return procedures
  • We will ship the replacement item once we receive the original
  • If the exchange item is higher in price, you will be charged the difference
  • If the exchange item is lower in price, we will refund the difference

7. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or refunded:

  • Custom safety signs (except for defects or our errors)
  • Signs that have been installed, mounted, or used
  • Signs with removed protective backing or films
  • Digital products, downloadable templates, or design files
  • Clearance or closeout items marked as "final sale"
  • Gift cards or promotional credits

8. Rush Order Returns

Rush order fees are non-refundable. If you return a standard sign that was processed as a rush order, you will receive a refund for the sign cost only, minus the rush fee and any applicable restocking fees.
